Blast from the Past

During consultations I get asked how long I’ve been shooting weddings. If I really think about it, I’ve been doing them for over eight years now. It started with the few freebie weddings done for family and friends, evolved to second shooting for other photographers, and here we are now.

So, here’s a peek at one of my “vintage” weddings.  A wedding shot before the blog, before “alfred salom photography” became “alfred salom photography,” and before I realized that I was a wedding photographer in the making. Emma dug these up for me, to remind me that—although it’s been almost three years since I shot this—aspects of my style remain the same. Although I’m evolving and adding more stylized shots to my portfolio, I still like to think I will always capture true photos. Photos that, although captured in 2009, will be classic in the year 2999.

Note: These shots are SOOTC (straight out of the camera).
