In the interest of continuous education, Emma and SSS (second shooter Shine) went to one of Augie Chang’s augilicious workshops. He blogged about it recently. What he captured in those few shots of them summarizes them perfectly. They are total opposites, but I’m glad they get along so well. Emma can’t take a serious picture to save her life.
Here are Emma’s shots:

Monvillacorta Videography are the videographers for Leilani and Marcel, and they recently featured their engagement session pictures on their blog

We can’t wait to work with them.
I’m bursting with excitement over the launch of our new proofing system. Yay! This system makes it so much easier to view slideshows, order prints, and make album selections.
Since no post is complete without a pic, here is one we took the other day. The rain MUST go away. I can’t bear to reschedule another shoot because of the rain. Overcast is usually good for pictures, but no one really looks good drenched—unless you’re in a beer commercial.

I wonder what athletes do in the off season, because I know what wedding photographers do in the off season.
They watch Chuck in 3d.

As Alfred is tucked away in his office with album designs, I took the chance to take some shots of my lovely sister, Gee. Every year, we take shots of her and her boyfriend (in the secret hope that it will one day be an engagement shoot). This year, I got to take the pictures and we used my home studio (the one I use for my boudoir work).
On a personal note, we recently had to put our beloved dog down due to a chronic illness. Although I’ve been miserable with grief, this shoot—like all our work—helped lift my spirits.
When I have the strength to do it, I’ll post pictures of our wonder dog. I’m sure she’s enjoying that big fire hydrant in the sky.
