Leilani will always hold a special place in my heart and in fact, I still have her initial voicemail tucked away. She contacted us in the early months of our wedding business, speaking in a hurried, excited tone. Gleaming over how she enjoyed our pictures and wanted to chat ASAP. Prior to this, Al was just a portrait photographer trying to gain footing in wedding photography. Our first set of weddings were all “take a chance on us” weddings. After we had proven ourselves with those, it was a breath of fresh air to listen to a bride who knew we could do it and we could actually hear the enthusiasm in her voice. She doesn’t know this, but we were so excited to meet her! And, our first meeting was a double dose of happiness as Marcel is just as cool as Leilani.
Consider Emma and Al official fans of Marcel and Leilani. Their awesomeness just jumps off the page.
I’ve worked with Efren (aka the “Chief”) for over a year now, and he is one cool dude. His kids are so artistic…they put my Chopstick piano skills to shame. Thanks for letting me spend the day with you guys!
The blogging has been dismal. I know. I’ve been up late at night just thinking about it. Well, not really, cuz we were in DISNEYLAND! Whoot.
We made a last-minute decision to hop a flight to our daughter’s favorite place on earth (I would include myself in that statement, but visions of Maui with a Mojito float in my head).
Aside from Disney, we’ve also been busy fielding 2010 inquiries (for which I am eternally grateful), album orders, photo shoots, and oh..umm… yeah..weddings!
I so promise to be better about the blogging.
And yes, if you are a 2010 bride and are wondering whether it’s too early to inquire. It’s the PERFECT time to inquire. I’ve already had to turn down 3 couples because we were already booked on their 2010 date. Ugh. I HATE DOING THAT.
Note: The following was taken with my crummy point and shoot and after waiting in line for one hour and fifteen minutes. Suffice to say, mommy was not a happy fairy! But, Tink is my daughter’s Madonna…so I’ll line up any day for joy like that.
