My dad called the other day to chit chat with his granddaughter, Ella.
Ella, “Hi Papu. What are you doing?”
Papu, “I’m driving home from work, honey.”
Ella, “Then why you on the phone? You can’t call on the phone when you’re driving. You might die!”
Papu, “Okay honey, now give the phone to your mommy.”
Me, “Yeah, dad?”
Papu, “She has a way of making you listen.”
Me, “Yup. Now call us back when you’re not driving.”

Jessica and Hugo had such an intimate wedding. We just loved hanging out with them.

Ria and I (emma) have known each other for over 20 years. We are family in a my “aunt is married to so-and-so…” kinda way. We were flower girls together for my aunt’s wedding, and we sported the itchiest yellow-ruffled dresses imaginable. I can’t wait to rock her and Brian’s wedding!
Alfred, “Brian, are you okay…you look unhappy?”
Brian, “I’m sitting on a sharp rock.”
Alfred, “Dude. Get off the rock.”
Brian, “But I said I’d do anything for the shot.”
These two were so fun to hang out with for the afternoon.

When Steph said we were going to shoot in a barn, all I said was….
i love barns!
I was secretly hoping for cows, and I wasn’t dissapointed.
i love cows!
Steph and Josh were great to hang out with and were such troopers even when they had hay in unsightly places and when we thought the wind might just sweep us away.

They roll up on their boards.
“We’re dorks,” I whisper to him.
“No we’re not. We have to protect our limbs. They are vital to our business,” he assures me.
“But, I still wish I could skateboard.” I finalize.
“I know honey, I know.”
Eller and Lisa are close friends of our niece and studio manager, Belle, so we were so excited to work them. They have a casual intimacy that we hope we were able to capture nicely…hushed tones, gentle PDA, and the occasional jujitsu hold.
