I’ve worked with Efren (aka the “Chief”) for over a year now, and he is one cool dude. His kids are so artistic…they put my Chopstick piano skills to shame. Thanks for letting me spend the day with you guys!

Rachel is a bridesmaid at Kara and Bernard’s wedding, so I really don’t know who found us first.
I have to admit, I had way too much fun with this family. I think it’s because Rachel and her sisters remind me of Emma and her two sisters, the bond is just so evident. Oh, and Mom can model too!
Emma’s ears perked up when Rachel mentioned she was a big fan of texture and vintage processing, so I let Emma wave her vintage wand on some of these photos. I must say, I’m starting to become a fan.

I love it when I can spend an afternoon at the beach, and I think I’ve been there 3 weekends in a row–a mixture of work and personal engagements. Brandy is a friend of Helena’s…boy do I love referrals…and she really wanted beach shots. We were worried about the weather, but am glad we took a chance, because the shots turned out great. Poor little Chris was turning a tad aqua, so we headed to their hotel room for some more shots. This little turn of events turned into such a blessing, because Chris really can ham it up to the camera and I got some nice intimate shots of the family. Uber cute!

As Alfred is tucked away in his office with album designs, I took the chance to take some shots of my lovely sister, Gee. Every year, we take shots of her and her boyfriend (in the secret hope that it will one day be an engagement shoot). This year, I got to take the pictures and we used my home studio (the one I use for my boudoir work).
On a personal note, we recently had to put our beloved dog down due to a chronic illness. Although I’ve been miserable with grief, this shoot—like all our work—helped lift my spirits.
When I have the strength to do it, I’ll post pictures of our wonder dog. I’m sure she’s enjoying that big fire hydrant in the sky.
