Emma here. Some shots from my mini shoot with one of my favorite guys—the Spence-meister.

Nathan is  Ethan’s cousin. Referrals rock. When I left the house yesterday, it was bright and sunny. 15 minutes into the drive, it was drizzling. By the time I got to the park, it was pouring! It’s a good thing Nathan did not live too far away, so we were able to do a last minute switch up. Nathan was such a cutie. At first he wasn’t liking the weird guy with the big lens, but I think I got him to come around.

I love it when I can spend an afternoon at the beach, and I think I’ve been there 3 weekends in a row–a mixture of work and personal engagements. Brandy is a friend of Helena’s…boy do I love referrals…and she really wanted beach shots. We were worried about the weather, but am glad we took a chance, because the shots turned out great. Poor little Chris was turning a tad aqua, so we headed to their hotel room for some more shots. This little turn of events turned into such a blessing, because Chris really can ham it up to the camera and I got some nice intimate shots of the family. Uber cute!

The Jones-es-es as we call them are very, very close friends of ours. You will find our godson Pacey gracing the pages of our marketing materials and various promotional items. He and Ella are close buds. We now have the pleasure of introducing little Spencer (their newest addition) to our group.

As some of you might know, dear Alfred gave me a Canon for my birthday. Wow, how romantic! (Can anyone else sense ulterior motives?)

I’ve always been interested in photos, darnit—I married a photographer, and love creating snapshots in time, but I never bothered learning the mechanics of a DLSR. Why bother, Al was always around to set the camera for me.

Well, now that we’ve started this business, I thought it would be a good idea to see whether I could add more value to the company…aside from the accounting, business running, and album design.

I’ve taken some classes and am lined up for several workshops. So far…I’m loving it! Granted, Alfred and I do not see second shooting in my immediate future, but he does think I have definite potential.

Here are some of my favorite shots so far. Al says I’m very girly. Whatever that means!
