Pre-Event Notes

Before you meet with us during your pre-event consultation, please have the following things ready or in mind:

Timeline

Group shot list (for after the ceremony)

Must have photos

Timeline:

  • Where you will be getting ready (please account for travel time between the two locations—for bride/groom—and how long it takes to get to the ceremony)
  • How long does it take to get to the reception from the ceremony
  • Can you take group shots at the ceremony location? If so, is there a time limit?
  • Are there any photo restrictions at the ceremony/reception?

Group shots:

  • How many group shots do you want to take right after the ceremony? Can some of them be less formal (friends, cousins, coworkers) and be taken during the reception?
  • Are there any special circumstances that we should be aware of (people who might need to leave the ceremony early, or people who prefer not to be in the same picture together)
  • Note down the names of your VIPs (parents and entourage), that way we can call them by their proper name.

Must have shot list:

  • Are there any specific shots you are looking for (guests you’d like to focus on, particular shots that are important to you)

Although we’ve shot many weddings, each one is different. It’s very important that you let us know what shots are important to you.  In the sea of guests, it can be difficult to identify long lost friends, important family members, or recreate an image that’s been on your wedding board forever. So, please help us help you by letting us know what you value most for your photo coverage.
