Steph and Josh had such a lovely wedding, filled with smiles and jars of candy. How could you go wrong?

Emma and I split up again for the first part of this wedding. She got to hang out with the guys, and David and I were there for Stephanie and her girls. We love seeing how each of our sets of photos turns out at the end of the day.

We wanted to drop a quick note and thank all our awesome couples and families. Without you guys, we wouldn’t be able to rock your photos and help you capture all those darn sweet memories.

We don’t always get to take a picture with the bride and groom, so when we do…we love to share them! Here’s one from Melanie and Brandon’s wedding at San Francisco City Hall. We got to dress down a little (don’t worry, Alfred almost NEVER wears jeans to a wedding–I won’t let him). This is also the last appearance of my beloved red ballet flats. I literally wore them out (that’s what I get for wearing them to 3, ten hour weddings and 4 engagement sessions).

Tiffani and Chad booked their wedding with us over a year and a half ago, and we were so excited to see them again and to romp around Palmdale Estates, where we shot one of our first weddings.

Tiffani and Chad have such awesome families, and you could definitely feel all the love around.

RiaMae and Brian’s Big Fat Filipino Wedding was just that. You could literally feel how much everyone loved this couple, the happiness was just ooooozing from every direction. Alfred and I are both Filipinos and well, Filipino wedding photographers covering a Filipino wedding in their home town of San Jose? Hmm…it was bound to be quite eventful! This definitely made the top of our list for the most surprise-filled wedding.

They told us they wanted to try a picnic engagement session in San Francisco. We managed to find a really good, hidden spot, for picnic picture taking. We love when we can find areas that are not crowded (San Francisco, crowded? Really?) so that our couples can relax and not worry about people gawking as they get their PDA on.  Then, we hit some of JoAn and Fredo’s favorite spots in the city.

Joan and Fredo found a nice cupcake shop and incorporated them into the shoot…oh and we got to take
the cupcakes back home with us. Score.

One of our favorite segments from the day were done in front of a random house. The expression on
JoAn’s face is just sublime.

Fredo produces his own beats, so they brought some of them for props.

We’re so glad you’re super happy with your wedding pictures. We were super happy covering it. Now, we’ll be super happy with our super sake!

They had a sweet ceremony at the fantabulous Wente vineyards in Livermore.

Their wedding at Wente was a perfect reflection of them, from the vibrant colors of their florals to the Jones soda pop and guitar picks on the tables. Gentle hints of what makes them, “them”. They were just so relaxed about everything, and it shows in their pictures. Their wedding was filled with gentle smiles, stolen kisses, and the occasional wrestle hold.

Me: I wish we were as cool as them.
Him: We’re cool.
Me: I think the fact that we’re having a conversation about being cool makes us un-cool.
