Engagement session, Crissy Field SFO
Sometimes photographers are also therapists. Terri suffers from what we in the industry call Photo Phobia. Photo phobia can be cured by sunny skies, calm, soothing tones, and a lot of re-assurance.
When we first met Terri and Harry, she informed us of her ailment (photo phobia) and told us that we should prepare for a subjectzilla in her. No subjectzilla last Saturday… she did great! I did, however, have to practice a little bit of hypnotism to get her to forget that she was getting her picture taken.

Al, Ella, and I visited Baker Beach to test out some things for engagement sessions and various other projects. When we arrived, I thought to myself that this beach, although packed for a would-be winter day, it didn’t seem to have a lot of children roaming about. Well, I figured out why…as I was 1/2 a mile into our leisurely stroll.
Two very handsome, but also very naked, young men jogged by us. To which Ella asked, “they take a shower now?”
Oh my. No one told me this was a nude beach!!
At least we got in some good photos before we left.

Jenny and Scott got engaged on the beach, so to the beach we went for what was a beautiful day. I got to spend two weekends in a row at the beach; how awesome is that?
We met Jenny and Scott through Leilani and Marcel. Apparently, Scott and Leilani row together (hmmm…rowing, I want to try rowing). Maybe Emma and I can convince them to take us out some afternoon. However, the last time Emma tried water sports ended up in a $50 rescue mission from the nearest life guard.
They are having a fabulous ceremony at the resort from the movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. I’m sure it’s going to be fabulous.

We had a great day at the beach with Tristan and his family. We got that “golden hour” where the light is just right.
