Rana and Stephen Engagement Pictures {San Francisco, AT&T Park, Ferry Building}

Note: Added more pictures and slideshow.

Emma and I had a great time walking the town with Rana and Steve. They made us laugh more times than I can count. If you watch the slideshow, you’ll see our trip around the city to Rana’s favorite church.

Terri + Harry {Palace of the Fine Arts, Crissy Field}

Engagement session, Crissy Field SFO

Sometimes photographers are also therapists. Terri suffers from what we in the industry call Photo Phobia. Photo phobia can be cured by sunny skies, calm, soothing tones, and a lot of re-assurance.

When we first met Terri and Harry, she informed us of her ailment (photo phobia) and told us that we should prepare for a subjectzilla in her.  No subjectzilla last Saturday… she did great! I did, however, have to practice a little bit of hypnotism to get her to forget that she was getting her picture taken.

Site Visits

Al, Ella, and I visited Baker Beach to test out some things for engagement sessions and various other projects.  When we arrived, I thought to myself that this beach, although packed for a would-be winter day, it didn’t seem to have a lot of children roaming about. Well, I figured out why…as I was 1/2 a mile into our leisurely stroll.

Two very handsome, but also very naked, young men jogged by us. To which Ella asked, “they take a shower now?”

Oh my. No one told me this was a nude beach!!

At least we got in some good photos before we left.

Mike + Georgia {Engagement, Golden Gate Park, Stow Lake}

Golden Gate Park

One of the greatest things about this park is that you can achieve two completely different looks with just a 2-minute drive between locations.

It seems we were constantly looking at the sky, hoping that rain drops wouldn’t fall and cut our session short. Fortunately, we had clear skies for our photo shoot.

Georgia and Mike are both teachers (which I think is so cute!) We have three 2009 couples where both the bride and groom are teachers (and..surprisingly enough, they all don’t know each other). Hmmm…. I wonder what I’m doing to target such a great market!
